You're having a rough time OP. I'm sorry all that happened to you. Every driver has had a least a little accident even it no one saw. I been in a few. I've even thought I set the brakes. Heard the hiss but not the snap. Looked down to do my of book and ran into the guy in front of me on the on ramp. He came out in his boxers wondering what happened. I was like" i dont know man, thought i set the brakes dude".He was cool about it though just like I would have been. I wish you luck my friend. Maybe if no one hires you you can drive a log or rock truck.

Yeah, tend to agree with the other responses.Going to have to sit it out, probably 2 years get a history of no accidents. Sorry to say,but Schneider will trash your DAC report(especially if you still owe them money. Thats how they trash your future. Its not as bad as it seems though, just stay in the transportation industry in some form. Maybe work the docks for a couple years at a company that will like you and get you driving for them in a couple years. Ride around with a trainer again and lose the bad decisions or unsafe driving techniques. Just saying.

Negative, everyone deserves at least a chance to get better. I think he can learn his lessons and move on to be a better driver. But tossing him under the bus like that won't help anyone.

I see that alot with the "south-of-the-border imports" drivers--i watched a dump truck pull a VERY illegal U-turn in front of my bus, and it was driven by someone who likely is scared poopless right now because he pulled that stunt in front of someone who might tattle on him (given the look on his face).

You're getting a lot of "off the top of your head" responses that just might not be true. I dislike like it tremendously when a driver plays "Truck Stop Lawyer". This is your career and you have a lot of money (to you and to others) that's on the line. You do not want to destroy your credit history id avoidable.

First try your best to pay something on your loan. Even if it's not the payment they want it shows the world you're trying.

Second, get a report from the DMV and see what's on it. The company that you'll apply to next will see what you're looking at so you'll be prepared to answer all the questions. Whatever you do - do not lie on your job application. It's far better to explain minor mishaps than trying to explain why you lied. That is IF they even give you a chance to explain a lie. Most will not and will report all they can that you're deceitful on job applications.

Third, get out and hit the bricks. Go to the yards of trucking companies and explained what happened. Everyone and I mean everyone has had some stupid mishaps that look bad on paper. Apply everywhere you can and keep doing it. Make job hunting your first priority and go after it with zeal. Remember the more you put into this career the more you'll get out.
