Decision time - Con-way or Marten

My ex girl friend lives in Florida. My advice is to move.

Actually Con way is a good company and so is Marten. Provided that you don't sc rew anything up. Most companies are great as long as you don't draw attention to yourself and play nice with the other truckers. Go with either of them. Make a lot of money but for God's sake write sometime. Father's day is coming up and none of my kids even take the time to call dear old dad. I am just too sad to continue.

 

Marten requires Hazmat within 90 days. Just don't leave your stuff in your truck on home time, the shop guys will steal it. Happened to me and to a good friend that quit over it happening to him. Not saying it was Marten's fault… just a couple of bad eggs at some of their terminals.

 

If I remember right , the allowed you like 48% , my truck did not have a shut-off on it . I idled it alot , The under bunk heater works good , they are set at temp ranges(the truck idles) . Take a Volvo if they give you a choice , as their International's were always breaking down , warranty things . I thought the International's had more bunk-room though !
