    Funnee!!

Rumor is SOMEONE already became 'one that can't make it' at a mega that pays one of the highest cents-per-mile rates in the industry and had to move back to a former employer...

...so once again the boring, never-ending braggadocio will continue as though nothing ever happened. I call that shameless.

More importantly, the OTR truckload segment of transportation shifted the economic uncertainty of trucking onto drivers. Interesting, isn't it, that LTL companies like Old Dominion, Estes, can pay THEIR drivers $24/hour for all hours worked yet OTR truckload seems to think THEIR drivers should DONATE their time for loading/unloading, fueling, sending in trip sheets, etc.

It's a scratch-your-head kind of thing and certainly Wal-Mart couldn't get away with requiring cashiers and stockers to come in, work two hours free at the start of their paid work day and then two free hours at the end of their paid work day.

But there will always be paid apologists and cheerleaders among us... to obfuscate and launch smokescreens, to defend the undefendable, and to attack us personally.

Fact is, OTR truckload labor practices are simply dinosaur-like, anachronistic, grossly unfair and utterly shameful.

This has gone on long enough. I think we're done here.
