so ready to get out there and roll w/u guys. didn't really care for otr when I did it a year or so ago, but hearing these adventures (both good and bad), and the FREE advice that all the drivers give to one another, has changed my mind 90%. seems as if when u have a problem, all u have to do is talk to the right person and it's resovled in a timely manner. I wanna run, and JCT seems to want to run me. and if I still don't like it, (I don't think that's gonna happen), I can walk away no strings attached (and a free bus ticket to boot!) I know u guys say "it's not for everyone", but until I try, how will I know?...

Well, my former 2nd seat isn't having a great start.

After recovering a truck from Cali to Oklahoma, he got a rental truck to drive while waiting for the truck he recovered to have a laundry list of issues addressed. Half the problems were repaired, and they wrote him up on a lease. Well, now he just got the truck back out of the shop from having more of the issues off that list repaired, and he's gotten 17 miles so far this week.

    Seven... teen.

My first week with this truck wasnt all that great. It was at Tulsa Freightliner for 5 days. 4 days before I ever got to drive it. Then lost an injector 400 miles into my first trip. Since then it hasnt skipped a beat other than the fuel imbalance issue that I fixed myself for $25.

Oh how I love Tyson. It seems like each one has its own little niche to make it a joy. Wake up at 5am thinking surely they finished my trailer and just lost my number. 12 hours is plenty of time... right?

Never touched it. Even better I had to put it on the scale again. Because the 5pm ticket wasnt good enough. They must go bad with age. Or maybe my tractor magically lost 900lbs overnight.

    Stile Thanks this.

I could have been at the yard at 0730 this morning, but I have so much time on this load I can take a 34 and still make OTD, so I'm working on my 18th hour chilling at a rest area (now that the safety blitz is over, lol)

Finally got out of tyson at 0730. Hit "fog" in Wyoming. If its at 7000 feet I think its really driving through clouds. Beautiful day in Laramie for my break.

102° here at the J in Eloy,Az. Got 380 miles to consignee in Riverside.

If you have to get a load reworked at Pilgrims Pride in Lufkin, Tx; they don't. They remove the weight and redo the bills.

Yep. I agree. I would hate to see how long it would take them to rework a load though. It took them an 2.5 hrs to remove two pallets and redo the bills. The original load wasn't all that heavy at 38.8k. It was just loaded tail end heavy. Now load weighs 36k and right at 34k on the Cali hole. And still tail heavy.
