Arrow Trucking CEO Doug Pielsticker.

I guess he's the hatchet man then. Or is he that bad of a company manager?
-
You're kidding right?
-
No. Was this guy brought in specifically to close the company?
-
No he is the son of the original owner. 7 years after the original owner died he completely ran it into the ground, stranding drivers across the country, nobody got paid and left behind an accounting nightmare.

It is so sad to hear that about 1500 people will be losing thier jobs. It appears that one of New Century's sister companies Western Freightlines out of Colorado is shutting down as well. Fortunatly there are a lot of driving jobs out there unfortunately they probably don't pay as well as New Century and starting over is never a fun thing to do. Good luck to all the New Century drivers. My company doesn't usually have many empty trucks but if anyone is looking it is a good solid company with decent pay, home time and great benefits and doesn't mind being on a waiting to get hired list. Good luck again to all the New Century employees... www.rgtransport.com

Yea I hope the drivers have an emergency fund to fall back on. That's one thing I learned in Trucking a long time ago-Keep some money put back for emergencies. Never know when you'll need it.pattyj Thanks this.
