I thinks it's been said on here numerous times, and verified by scale master that calling the Marshall doesn't do squat.

When I ran a daycab cross country, I never had a scale house once ask me for a motel reicept. Even in Ca..
I just logged it off Duty.
From then on even when I got a sleeper trk. I still log it off duty.
I have been leased on to a big carrier in Mn. and they never kicked my logs back on not showing sleeper berth.
Even the place I'm at now have not said a word about that. Other issues yes, but not for showing off duty. Not sleeper
Mn. tried to jack me up last year over that and I politely told him he was wrong... I said after my post trip I can log it how ever I want to as long as I have a 10 hour break.
He tried telling me I had to in Mn. I told him no, I don't.. I am a for hire 48 state carrier not an intra state carrier.
No tickets and no write ups either from him

If you're in the sleeper, you MUST log it as sleeper...

This is incorrect, if you go into the sleeper, you must still log it as sleeper.

Their guidance can say anything they want it too. The Reg doesn't say anything about differentiating it just says time spent resting. So how's about we all do it how we want and not worry how y'all do it. As far as I'm concerned off duty is just that and they can #### off if they want to kno where I spent it. No other industry besides transportation has to account for there whereabouts for 24 hours a day why should we??

Anyway that's JJ Kellers interpretation. Post something from the FMCSA showing otherwise.

I'm out. Y'all just keep eating your #### sandwiches and asking for more. Nothing like rolling over and just taking it.
