That is correct I am a Safety Officer, Not a driver.
Sense I am not a driver I like the feedback of the driver.
I believe that the experience of a Driver is very valuable.
I am not looking to Bribe anyone I just looking for in site.
We are a Family owned trucking company with 50 trucks, we are Located in Northern Indiana.
We are looking to fill 6 driving positions. The owner has asked me to put an ad together. So I figured the best way to create an effective ad is to ask You the Driver what you are looking for.

I appreciate everyone's feed back and it is greatly appreciated.

I guess I can respect that.. But most of these guys can get pretty bent out of shape over it.

Sr Drivers are good at reading between lines and know what lies between them.

I tell you a recent story.

A well known chemical company recently tried to recruit me to Drive one of their Trucks (private fleet), delivering some of the most dangerous stuff on earth.

New KW, 75k yr, good benefits.

    They almost had me.

But, they were Dishonest (ad not same as offer), they were Disrespectful (they were over 30min late for my interview), and they were Stupid (they had alot of complications making use of there own technology).

I understand & respect your search hear.

Send me a pm, if you need, anything else.

Since you are a Mom & Pop organization , you know full well your greatest resource is your drivers....1 question...are you retaining drivers for a fairly decent amount of time..I mean , 10 + years or more , if so then you're doing something right. To an experienced driver , ( a good one now ) driver retention is a very good indicator of how good , or bad , the job is.....money means a lot , but it's often not the deciding factor...( since the best jobs already pay very well , it's considered by many a given and a non-issue).

Ask your drivers the same question...find out from them why they were attracted to you to start with , and much more important , what is keeping them there in your employ....Good luck!
