I was reading the Desperate in Dodge City thread over in the Swift Forum and it was a driver that was having trouble with setting the opti-idle on his truck. Someone asked him what kind of truck did he have. His response was Freightliner International Pro star Eagle. I busted out laughing on that one.

I swear I spied a 780 JCT truck on the 70 east bound Thursday. Was I hallucinating?

It was either an O/O or one of Volvo test trucks.

Lol I seen that as well. I need to get me one of them there freightshaker porn stars! Eagle trim too! Boy howdy! Haha.

Even thought I don't drive for jct anymore, still following this thread. Id liken it to an extended lecture on trucking, teaming, mpg, fuel costs, etc.

Hell I think this and the previous thread should be required reading for wannabe lease ops and owner ops. Stay safe drivers.

Got me a FANTASTIC load out of the NW. Pick up Friday, deliver Monday night. Albany, OR - North Platte, NE. 1400 miles in 4 days. Not sure I can make that. Way to use my truck and hours productively Ryan McKee (NW Planner). Looks like I'll be getting a 34 hour break on this load.

In brighter news, still getting over 8 MPG regardless of what I'm hauling, how much I'm hauling, or where I'm running. I guess that's the optimist in me shining through. Wait, I'm not an optimist....I'm a realist. :)

    Safe running everyone

so with that 34hr restart, would u drive balls out to get close to the destination and then take the 34, or would u drive, take the 34, and then continue to the destination?

and I second unloader's motion that these two threads be required reading before somebody starts at JCT...
