From what Crete is telling me, at least the recruiters, no inverters allowed. I believe I"m supposed to plug everything into the outlets w/o using an inverter, if that makes any sense? She said they do not allow power inverters except for medical reasons. I can plug anything into the truck that runs off 400 watts. Her exact words.

Well, I'll be testing for my CDL tomorrow morning at 8am. Wish me luck everybody, I hope I get it over with the first time around! I'll be applying for Crete or Shaffer on Monday, just not sure which one to apply for yet, probably Crete. I understand they're the same company, just not sure if I wanna pull a reefer for the extra penny or so per mile, or just roll w/ a van.

Live in the truck for weeks at a time with a 400 watt invertor limit ? Yikes !!!!!
US Xpress allows up to1750 watts. We have two coolers, microwave, tv, 2 laptops, coffee machine.
The company shop installs it for free.
If your going to do this job....do it comfortably.Wild Murphy Thanks this. -
The company allows up to a 400 watt invertor. Not sure if that's enough for a game console, I've been told it isn't, but other than that you can run anything else off it except a microwave.

Well, passed my CDL test this morning, rainy weather and all
Just glad I got it the first time! As every driver keeps telling me, now the REAL learning begins! It's been a whirlwind. I'll officially apply at Crete online over the weekend.

I suggest Crete. Will be returning to them next month.

whats the pay per mile over there? if it's more than I make here....

It might work, but off a cigarette plug, it'll only put out the same as a 400 watter.
