I believe those are lease operators.

The contractor division includes the lease operators and O/O.
Not all O/O say contractor. It's basically up to the owner of the truck.
Same with the buzzard logo on the overhead faring. Some O/O's have them and some don't.
    Stevens doesn't have old trucks.
I think we're rid of all the 2009's and the 10's are nearly gone now too. 11's and newer.

I have a passport but I am curious about the " Enhanced DL " . How do you go about getting one of these ?

What does the license say on it ?

It has a American flag on it. It has your citizenship on your license. If you have a passport it's not really necessary.

I travel a lot to other countries using my passport but just using a drivers license would be nice not having to carry the passport.

If you have a passport I assume they would not stamp it every time you crossed the border , mine is almost full and don't expire until 2017. I think $ 100 dollars for extra pages.

To get a Enhanced D/L, you need a passport or your original Birth Certificate (no photo copies) and need to prove your residence in the state. It looks like very other D/L, except on the top of the D/L it will say Enhanced Commercial Drivers License. It will have a US flag next to your picture on it. The Enhanced D/L has Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) on it and should be keep in a Radio Frequency sleeve to help shields the Enhanced D/L from unauthorized RFID readers. Agreed, since you have a passport a Enhanced D/L is not needed. It cost about $3.00 year extra on top of your normal D/L. It's just a little more convenient carry a Enhanced D/L than a passport. The choice is yours of course.

Not all US states offer EDL's. As of March 2014, an EDL was available to U.S. citizens resident in the states of Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, and Washington. Check out the Customs and Border Protection website for details: http://goo.gl/Gcoc8v
