Are you on your period? Sorry, couldn't resist. :) It sounds like the bell housing bolts got loose and then stripped? If so, then the best course of action would be to replace the bell housing. 2nd best option would be to repair the threads that are stripped.

Are you talking about the 4 bolts that hold the inspection cover on or something else?

Stop double spacing and your posts will be easier to read.

And stop going to Petro for anything other than fuel, showers and chicken fried steak.

I wouldn't let those flunkies fix my wheelbarrow.

Replacing the bell housing is best, although there is a thread repair insert called a keensert. Its like a helicoil on steroids it would hold if installed properly. Most likely the mating surfaces of the transmission bell housing and the rear structure of the engine were not clean when the bolts were tightened and when the dirt fell out the bolts were loose. It let the back of the transmission drop causing a lot of pressure on clutch disc themselves and yes they are most likely junk now. Your main concern should be the pressure that was on your input shaft from being run at that angle I am gonna say you will have transmission trouble shortly after it gets back on the road. Bearing failure on the mainshaft to be more specific
