I am with werner... and no I am not a slob, not am I over weight... I have always taken care of myself and continued to when I began driving... I shower at least once a day, never pee in anything but a toilet, and wear clean clothes always.. even if I have to change clothes two or three times a day...

Right now I am pulling flatbed.. so after I untarp and unstrap my load, get the tarps folded and strapd wrapped up.. I go in and wash up and put clean clothes on... sometimes all I need is to change my shirt... other times I change my jeans, shirt and socks... especially if it is raining...

There are drivers out there who take no pride in themselves at all... but, I am guessing they were that waybefore driving...

Werner does not have a dress code... but, as stated it will serve you better to dress clean and neatly.. you will get treated better by shippers, recievers, D.O.T. and other drivers...

I am looking at going to school soon for my CDL, and personally, I always plan to look good. I always wear a polo now, and don't see any reason to stop taking care of myself after I start. That's my personal preference though.

I'm under the impression that when I go OTR, showering daily is almost an impossibility and I should instead count on three showers per week. When I do get those showers, I should count on repulsive experiences. I should count on shaving and brushing my teeth in sinks I want nothing to do with, and finding a toilet to go the serious business in is going to be a nightmare.

    Is this picture not true?

I hope I can take care of myself every day when I'm OTR, but people on this message board lead me to believe that one doesn't because of the condition of the facilities.

If your company doesn't supply uniforms, although in my opinion every company should, you can't go wrong with Dickies. It makes a neat appearance, and wears like iron.

McCauley...i can't say you are entirely wrong. I shower every other day. Showers are cleaned after every use. In 8 months there has only been one questionable one. Said something to employee they gave me a different one
