    Good day,

Thanks for all the replies! I have zero problem working my **s off. I just want to make sure that, that return on my hard work is an option. Left door stays shut, wheels keep turning, eat sammichs and don't spend money.

Dunno about CA pay scales, but I run NYC metro truckload deliveries out of the Scranton, PA market, with occasional trips to the VA beach area, WV, CT, northern MD and NH. I gross between $1000 and $1400/week on 2000 miles or less. I'm home all but 2-3 nights per month (usually in a hotel because I'm mostly slip-seating in daycabs), and I only work weekends if I want to earn some extra. After taxes, health insurance, long term disability buyup and a $2500 annual FSA contribution, I'm depositing a minimum of $3200/month.

A higher CPM =/= better paychecks. The wheels do not always need to be turning for you to be earning. Today I earned $92.04 for live unload pay, 2 hours detention and NYC Metro pay. That's in addition to the $128.80 mileage pay for 280 miles. I showed up at work at 5am, had my paperwork done and was on my way home at 5pm.

Don't buy into the 'more miles' = 'more money' sales pitch.

Sounds like a personal problem... If you would have done some research before singing on the dotted line with Swift you wouldnt be in the situation your in.

I wasn't singing when I signed, and I didn't sign with Swift, I signed with Central, we're just Swift's ugly stepchildren now, I had no say in that.
