My Quality Drivers/Celadon experience April 2014

Thank you Gordon A, I have no plans to lease anything. Regardless of pressure.

My specific goals include driving with a CDL to subsidize my income only while I continue to develop my small business. I may drive for a few months OTR hard core to develop my driving skills some, establish a record of safety, and generate some experience, but my long term future does not include OTR.

Thanks for the update Um. Not good that they changed the rules about pay after you started. You spent the night in a parking lot, huh? I guess there wasnt a truck stop within miles. I'm glad you are enjoying it and close to finishing. Thanks for the updates. Kep us posted.

 

I read that also, and asked myself why are they changing the pay rules now? Makes me wonder whats next, and why.

 

in my opinion this pay change should not happen to existing student or employees. Just start the new pay with new hires. That would be the fairest instead of messing with drivers that hired on based on the old system. This smacks of poor financial standing by the company.

 

Yes it does, and it also smells of a way to weed out drivers, and get rid of employees. I would also like to know how many miles driven a day. If you were making $58 a day comparde to .18 cents a day using a pay/mileage formula would be interesting.
