you could have linked to the news story. http://www.myfoxphilly.com/story/25...-fell-asleep-before-friday-morning-i-95-crash
gpsman and poppapump1332 Thank this. -
Depends on what you do on off time. Feds can't control a person spending the weekend watching sports, then be exhausted when they report for work Monday. That's what Anne Ferro doesn't understand.
fuzzeymateo, drvrtech77, Marksteven and 1 other person Thank this. -
Easy solution. Make shippers and receivers give us plenty of time to reach our destination. Some shippers give me plenty of time and days when I feel like driving nonstop I arrive early and get loaded/unloaded. Most loads dont give you time to even eat is when I am tired.
Chewey Thanks this. -
We do have plenty of time. The key is to be smart with your time. If you know you have to work, why stay up and watch sports or party or video games? Or pull over and go to sleep if tired. I know. Common sense in trucking isn't common anymore.

Sorry dont no how to link it on here im just a old school truck driver watching all these e log companies wreck every day around herefuzzeymateo, panhead and 123456 Thank this.

Exactly common sense all these rules and regs arent helping safety the 14 running clock is the worstfuzzeymateo Thanks this.

China, you and I both know, Anne Ferro doesn't know #### about #### when it comes to trucking.

I don't like the 14 hour clock either but you can't blame the 14 hour clock on stuff like this. This is stupidity plain and simple. Just like the Walmart driver in New Jersey. Just like so many of these where the driver falls asleep. If you know your limitations then you won't have issues. And if drivers would heed to those limitations instead of being stupid, we wouldn't have to be regulated to death.driverdriver, drvrtech77, 77smartin and 2 others Thank this.

Can't do that with the 14 running...Last edited: Jun 28, 2014
