    While i can completley understand where economies of scale would come into play.... In my experience that make a whole lot more sense with thing that don't break or go bad...

    I think dealer network parts aval has a ton to do with SNI and Freightliner cause downtime can hurt and so can a huge tow bill trying to find a Volvo or peterbilt dealer etc .

    I guess if i wanted to live in my truck i'd think more about the creature comforts.. I di this for the money and thats it... Been a lot less comfortable than the worst truck out there for a lot less...lol... Like sleeping on the front slope of a m1 in freezin rain...

    I was looking at the new Cascadia Evo's with the DD15 with autoshift. If their claims are true then that would be a pretty attractive truck for a O/O

    I know comfort may not be high on somes list ( must not be on mine either since i have a evo ) but after 17 years of doing this if you're gonna be in the truck you need to be comfy too.

    I agree totally , but I have a 2006 century with everything you can think of in it

    fridge , sat tv , sat radio , Flat screen , APU , I live good on the road :)

    I guess my my point was you don't have to buy a KW 680 to be comfortable cause to me it is about comfort but also profits

    Just to give a little insight on what I'm looking at for next week after the holiday I got booked

    KY to PA - 1.89 gross 1577
    PA to MA 2.17 gross 772
    MA to NY 1.53 gross 559

    avg per mile 1.86

    gross = 2898 . 00

    1510 / 6.7 mpg = 225
    225 / 3.89 = 876

    net = 2022
    - 172 deductions ( includes escrow )

    $1850 net in 3days

    total miles 1510 ( including deadhead )

    3.5 days running
    60% drop and hook ( by choice )

    thats 3 days .. Or 3.5 I still have room to get another 2 day run in by Monday payroll cut off and pull that net number up. So to the CHOICE NAY SAYERS .. There it is proof positive ..

    chrismc774 Thanks this.
