LEO's of yesteryear deserved respect more than today's just as truckers attitude and professionalism has gone down hill so have the troopers.
We all have to call eachother on our bs he felt he was right to tell the cop he felt they where being unsafe and I agree but the posting it may have unforseen consequences. As always RESPECT is earned.

Seems presumptuous, and a little premature. The story has circulated widely. I imagine that includes LE.
With what seems the increasing prevalence of use of video recording by motorists cops may be influenced to clean up both their driving and cell phone habits.
I swear, there are few groups of worse drivers than those of LE. I saw a cop properly signal a turn last year and I was so surprised I almost ran the same red light they did.tsavory, Derailed and Skydivedavec Thank this. -
Let's hope the rest of us are as prepared to be abused as this driver...

6 months from now this will be long forgotten.

What I'm doing on duty driving my truck is the officer's business. Only a fool argues with the man with the gun and bagge. People are not supposed to pull over Leo's that's absurd. I don't think what they do is right but I know you won't win talking back/taking stand road side 99% of the time."semi" retired, bergy and Skydivedavec Thank this.

Hi stabob, I totally agree. The fact that this made national news is just another nail in the coffin for truck drivers. We just don't need this kind of publicity. I guarantee, when people saw this, truckers image fell to a new low, and the media jumped at it. LEO's deal with the worst aspects of our society, they literally don't know what is in store for them. I could never do that, but, I'm very grateful they do. I learned a long time ago, keep your mouth shut, answer all questions without babbling. Was this guy an O/O? Because if he was in my company, he'd be out the door, and I'd inform that officer as such.

so many times i see law enforcement in any given part of our country speeding for whatever reason
they should all read this article ...
http://www.8newsnow.com/story/5255167/nhp-trooper-sentenced-in-deadly-accident
i should add ... this trooper was not driving to an emergency ... no lights and sirens ... just going to dinner at 114 mph
sad... very very sad -
Am I the only person that has seen a cop going exactly the speed limit or slower??
Imagine all the cars that won't pass that cop. The cars weaving right to left to get thru the traffic, only to see the cop, knowing they can't pass him.
I've seen it and it don't look none to safe. -
I guess nobody caught the real big issue here, if it's not ok for us to bribe the police to get out of things, it surely looked like a bribe for the officer to the driver about how fortunate he was to get a violation free inspection. Like that will allow the driver to look away and drop the whole thing. Good for him for making the news, etc....if it were the other way around you know someone would have been locked up

Ok enough I an tired of people who think they know everything when they are assuming. I regularly drive on police runs no lights no sirens. There are certain types of runs where you go fast silent. As for useing interstate on a police run I learned along time ago not to use lights. People will go from the right lane all the way across traffic to the hammer lane and stop. The overhead lights go on and the stupid factor from the public goes up 100%. While on my rant, how about all the cb Rambos that talk stuff on the radio when I drive through the truck stop warning the lot lizards and dope man. Or telling people the female Police Officer (in full uniform) in my passenger seat is a decoy for the police sting. Cause we always send a uniformed Police Officer to pose as a lot lizard. I am not saying Law Enforcement is perfect or even close to it. I give a fair shake and would like one in return.
