Yes, sounds exactly like what I was told when I was in the school. Same companies visited as well as TMC. A few ended up going with them. They make it sound soooo good.....lol

 

Yeah, I was just talking to a guy in my school about this account yesterday. Recruiter has him talked into it and he WANTS it. That all knowing smile thinking he found something special. Whole 800 bucks a week to bust your ### and ruin your back, lol...

 

Lol. These accounts are the destroyer of many rookies dreams. At the USX orientation, the guy running it made jokes about all the guys doing Dollar General. He let them know what they were in store for. I think after two days of jokes... they started regretting signing up for Dollar General.

Honestly guys, all of the stories are hilarious. I think we should create a reality show around this. Follow Dollar named store drivers. We got a hit on our hands.

 

Half the complaints I hear about that account are about how you have to back into them. Like they just set a store up and last minute thought, "oh, better toss a dock somewhere. Anywhere is fine." Perfect for new drivers, lol.

 

Dock?...what dock?......half the stores I did just had a man door open to a back alley and not enough room to jackknife in.

Here's a dandy in Tacoma.
Real fun putting a 53' trailer back there,see the walled in dumpsters at the end of the alley?
Had to do this at midnight when the parking lot was empty.

 

I have been on this account almost two years and love it... I don't want to sit driving 11 hours a day. I want a workout.. If you don't like manual labor this account is not for you..

 

I graduate in two weeks from school, and I have a pre hire for us xpress in Berwick pa, and I was thinking of doing the dedicated account, is there any info that I can get..any pros and cons please
