Howdy...first joined Truckers Report back in 2007. Was close to getting my CDL and a great job came along and it never happened. Chatted with alot of great people on here and learned alot. ALOT has changed in trucking since then...CSA..and the new and ever changing regs. Some things are the same...same complaints and alot of similiar posts. Well that great job went bye bye and here I am....considering driving all over again. Looking forward to reading the posts and getting any info that comes along. Glad to be back...

Tell me this...is trucking worth it or not???? Interested in the responses I get....take care guys.

Yes, it's worth it. Truck is a great career if you plan well. Attend a 160 hr. CDL school and get all the endorsements plus TWIC and a passport. If you do all this and shop carefully for the right company, you can easily make $50K - $60K your first year.

Thanks Chinatown. Its amazing the negative feedback in almost every forum out there. Can cause some serious self doubt on whether or not its a wise career choice. But I've been drawn to it for years...never thought I'd be back in this position given my past success doing what I do. But I'm doing my research daily and will most likely start school in September. Any other advice you can pass along would be great.......much appreciated.
