We actually have not moved to Chino yet. We are in the process of moving. We now have our frozen at the Chino facility off of Euclid south of the Chino prison and are in the process of moving the dry to the new facility. On the 19th of April we will move all of the perishables over. All routes are still leaving from the Brea warehouse off of Puente St. south of Lambert and north of Imperial.
How is that for a hint?
By the way I have a brother that works at your company in the Tank Farm and is a shop steward. Can you guess who that is? If you can you can ask him what company I drive for. Small world isn't it?

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Hmmm...back to our regularlly scheduled thread.
1. Paid weekly
2. Average $1000 a week. Although I've managed $1200 a week since the first of the year.
3. Home 2-3 days a week.
4. Insurance ?? Have to ask the wife. I don't have Co. Insurance. Other than disability. That's about $57 a month.
5. Regional runs, with a few OTR runs thrown in for good measure.
6. Generally run between 1600-2500 miles a week.
7. Paid vacations & holidays.
8. Assigned trucks.
9. Liberal employee policies
-
I forgot to add:
7. Line Haul Pay: .54 a mile, $21.60 per stop, $36 per diem per 24 hour period and downtime after 1/2 hour. Plus hotel and $50 layover pay.
8. Local hourly pay: starts at $16.06 hr. after one year you get bumped up to $18.50
9. Vacation: 2 weeks after one year, 3 weeks after two years, 4 weeks after 5 years.
10. Trucks: Freightliner condo cabs and day cabs for local runs are assigned to the routes (somewhat). 53', 48' and 26' Refrigerated Trailers with bulkheads to separate product.
11. Deliveries: Use a lift gate, electric pallet jack, and a hand truck. Most stops are pallet drops except for the "mom and pop" type stores where you usually have to break the pallet down and walk the product in.
12. Product: Dry (grocery), Frozen, and Perishables. -
Danc69,
What company do you wrk for and are you union?
This thread is great give you a real insid lok on things. Thanks for the info. -
Well I just got back from another week vacation. It's kinda sad that only 3 or 4 drivers posted there wages. I think that says a lot about this industry. You know, I thought more drivers would speak up and let others know how good there company paid and treated them. I guess maybe by not speaking they have told us a lot.
074344 You guessed right. I don't know how you no that but you do. It's been a good company although we were just bought out. Nothing has changed but the name. You also never posted your wage info. Why is that. -
Okay, here's a few weeks of pay stubs from KLLM. No particular order or significance, just the ones on top. Weekly pay, less than one year experience.
3/5/08-gross pay-$929
3/19/08-gross-$1710
2/6/08-gross-$920
2/13/08-gross-$672
3/26/08-gross-$1002 -
Kllm pay seems pretty good for a new driver.
-
I'm pretty happy with it. Folks are complaining about bad paychecks all around, and his one friend keeps complaining how her husband can't seem to make more than $200 a week, but his checks are mostly good. Certainly more than he made as a chef. And he probably doesn't even spend $50 a week on the road, so he keeps most of it.

any info on companies up nothern california hiring around sacremento area
