Not saying that we are perfect by all means but some people take it to the limit and try to push just a little further. I think they have no idea what will happen when that truck hits the back of a car.
As for the fellow driver I have seen some stupid stuff that people do and I have probably done some too. It just seems that more technology today makes the roads more dangerous. And then you have the people who want to sue the insurance companies so they don't have to work. -
There's a way to drive that you can avoid most traffic situations. In heavy traffic, where the speeds have dropped below the minimum, stay 2 truck lengths behind the person in front of you. Drop the gears and just cruise. Lot less stress, lot less stop and go. So what if someone jumps in front of you...they won't get anywhere. Easy does it.
You can tell the ones that are going to try to BRAKECHECK you. They are on the brakes before they clear your front bumper. Don't cut your wheel. If you hit them, give them a new religion. On the dash cam, it will just show the top of the car cutting in front of you. That's good enough. Be sure to smile as you layeth the smack down.tinytim, windsmith and jeepnut_nh Thank this. -
Be fair, Trip... tell folks to at least tap the brakes so it registers on the ECM that you attempted to avoid the collision.windsmith Thanks this.

Yea and for every idiot I see with 18 wheels, there's about 20 or 30 on 4 wheels that do something stupid. You can try to keep a safe following distance all you want there's always one idiot out there who will seem to do everything in their power to keep you from maintaining it. I remember playing leap from with some with an Iowa plate from north Platte to just east of grand island one afternoon. Actually ran the cruise that day as I was empty. 77 is what the speedo read guess she had a problem following a truck and maintaining speed. That's about a 2 hour drive she passed me 7 times I passed her 8 each time shed pass shed get close enough to my bumper that I had trouble seeing her hood is hop out in the hammer lane and shed slow down then pass me after I got back over...and the final time I put my foot in the throttle and didn't back off.
That is the stupidity you will deal with every day of the week out here. That was also the same day I asked CRST if she realized she was supposed to keep it between the broken white and the solid white, and asked told swift if he wanted out in the hammer lane he should do so when there isn't a cow truck out there passing him. I've seen a lot of idiots this is one reason I prefer driving nights instead of days. Less traffic less idiots. -
That's for AFTER the smack.
There will come that time in life where an idiot gets what's coming to him with no retribution. Relish that moment. -
...give them a new religion. Classic.

It seems that nowadays people are in a hurry to go nowhere. I see people coming off ramps and the person on the interstate can't or wont get over and the person coming off the ramp gets mad and passes them on the shoulder and then gets mad at the other person.
Now that being said people who slow down to an almost complete stop in the interstate to let the person on the ramp merge irritate me also. They are trying to be nice but just need to think to check behind them. It's bad enough that they are slowing down but some people are just bound and determined to let them out. Even if they have to stop.
I was going to work a few years back and I was in right lane and a lady in a SUV came flying up next to me and turned on her signal. I didn't think much about it as the next two exits where so close together. She all of a sudden just slammed into me and when the cop finally showed up she was like he didn't let me over and the cop had to explain several times that she was supposed to slow and I did not have to let her over but I don't think she was listening cause she kept telling him that I would not let her over. Just my rant -
threadjack!!!!!!
Do you have any more pics of that beefy, evil looking, hyper masculine T800? Looks like what MadMax would drive if he was a stick hauler. -
