Hello Everyone,
Not sure why the link won't work for some. You can find it by going to the MSNBC website and looking up the "NOW with Alex Wagner" Television Show and then search for the show segment which was called "Tragic Crash Highlights Safety Oversights" , I was on with the same ATA guy who disagreed with me during the Dan Rather Interviews, in this segment he agrees with me and then they tweeted me afterwards. I unfortunately could not hit every point due to the length of the segment and for those who only bash the station, you really miss the point. During the pre-interview I was able to talk about lots of important topics that never make mainstream media and this was what interested them. They wanted to hear about this stuff. Just before I arrived at the studio they called to tell me the ATA would be on also and in a split segment because they know we don't "get along" as they put it.
You don't get to pick who covers a story , that anyone wants to hear from drivers AT ALL and not just the ATA.
I was working on this post at the time. and the link to the segment is in here too but this content is also regarding the work I have been doing on the jasons law truck parking open comments sections. "Walmart Crash, Hours of Service, and Truck Parking"
I am sharing here because I was asked to.
I hope more people start getting involved rather than just complaining to one another. That really does not help anyone or anything.
Have a safe 4th of July!
Desiree

Thank you soooo much Desiree for coming here and sharing this with us...
I TOTALLY agree with you with regard to getting more people involved rather than just complaining to each other... That never helped and never will....
In the meantime, folks in power keep making these moronic, absurd rules that don't make anybody any safer but only hurt us and the whole industry even more... We must "educate" them and communicate with them about the reality of our job, our needs and what we want. There are millions of truck drivers in this country but only a meager fraction participates in the rule making process that affects our lives and our income... It's pitiful....

It looks like the lawsuits are now being filed in this case...
Tracy Morgan sues Wal-Mart for crash that killed 1
The lawsuit, filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in New Jersey, claims Wal-Mart was negligent when a driver of one of its tractor-trailers rammed into Morgan's limousine van. The complaint claims the retail giant should have known the driver had been awake for over 24 hours, and that his commute of 700 miles from his home in Georgia to work in Delaware was"unreasonable." It also alleges the driver fell asleep at the wheel.
