states with no idle laws?

http://www.atri-online.org/research/idling/Truck_Idling_Regulations.htm they got 2 versions of the anti idle laws a quick cab refference and then a long form. read the long form first. easier to read in my opinion.

 

theres nice big fines for that, several companies are putting apu's (auxiliary power units) in there trucks which gets rid of the need to idle. just one more thing to look at when looking for a new company.

 

If you are confronted by a LEO who is stupid enough to attempt enforcement of some of these idiotic, inhuman, anti-idling laws here's what cha' do. Get out of the truck and proceed to beat the hog-snot out of the cop. After ringing his bells, stop, and assume the position before he shoots you. At this point the idling offense will no longer be foremost on the dummy's mind, and you will be guaranteed a warm place to sleep. In fact, you'll probably get three hots and a cot for a while, which may be better than dwelling in a cold truck anyway.

2xR wonders if the pointy heads who regulate our lives go home and live in a dark, cold house?

 

no they have a nice hot house burning fuel oil to heat it but since we make noise and "nasty" smelling emmissions we have to shut down. its not for the environment if it was they would just ban trucks. but then they could not get there heating oil so its idle laws for every one.

 

I wish truckers would stop complaining and actually do something about it.

 

only work for co.'s with APU's or clean idle stickers on their trucks, then you won't have to worry about it!
