trans am exp.BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.If the company flatout tells you you wont make any money as company driver,why would they care if you made ANY money leasing a trk..

 

Recruiting maybe?

 

My Nephew went to trans am fresh out of driving school ,he said they run it like a military camp ....they kept him broke all the time and having him jump thru all kinds of hoops ,he was so broke the whole time at trans am he had to quite and get away from those people ,he also said they like to pump fear into their drivers ....

 

First off, to say all company lease programs are a scam, is in itself a scam and not helpfull to anyone. Yes, the vast majority of them are but not all. I am exploring J.B. Hunts lease program atm and will have an opinion on it in the near future one way or the other but do know schnieder for one has a very workable lease program. Check out Atruckers thread on the schnieder board for an example. I have read of a couple of others but cant remember company names right atm because they were not any of the big companies. And yes, alot of the companies have many trucks to chose from and if I remember correctly, Schnieder was the one that told me that ifn they didn't have the truck I wanted then they would put me in a temp truck and order my truck for me.,

To the OP. Be watchfull of PTL, the company themselves might be ok but they are owned at least in part by Celedon which is one huge ripoff company now. I have many friends driving for Celedon and looking for a way out.

 

Leasing might not be a good thing at Trans Am You just got to be smart enough to read threads on Truckers Report and make up your own mind. There is one thing you cant deny about Trans Am is They sure do have a cool name.

 

I'll say this with respect and nothing more, I see by your avatar you're a wannbe so that's understandable why you would be defending the lease programs..What I asked was not meant to help anyone but it was pertaining to the subject of this thread.It was not a scam either,people wanna lease more power to them.

 

i Was Trans am for 3 months as company. that was a bad experience

 

I seen on the TransAm thread that one of the company drivers there is very happy working with them. Said they treat him great.

I am really starting to think that maybe all the negative post come from negative people at all companies.


Every time I hear someone talk how good a company is there is always someone who will post something negative.


Very hard for us wannabes to choose a company with this kind of info.

 

Can you explain more as to why TA is a bad company ? I am thinking of going with them and would like to hear why only 3 months.

 

I looked them up, 1 year experience pays you .32CPM per their website.
You can do a lot better than that
