He says he's not picky .....but he wants a redheaded woman to do his laundry!

No,no! What if she is the redheaded woman! Track her down!:biggrin_2559:

And I keep telling him to get a dog! Nice dogs attract women! Or go to the grocery store and look hopeless and helpless!

Put my pin in Greenwood, LA for the night. And home tomorrow!! Does anyone know if C&S Wholesale in Plant City allows overnight parking? Google shows a lot right by the possible guardshack. I think I could possibly sit there. I can't remember if I've been there before or not. But if they allow overnight parking, I can stay home til Sunday afternoon, drive straight to that first stop and start my day with my leaving stop call when I'm done. It would help me out a lot with my clock on Monday cause my DM is trying to get me reloaded Monday afternoon in Auburndale.

I couldn't find anything in my notes, honeybadger, but I did look them up and it said that they were open tomorrow from 8am til 5pm so you might be able to get someone on the phone tomorrow. I don't know what number that you have for them but here is one - 813-707-2800.

I arrived from Korea here in Indiana and bought a trac throw away phone like I do every year. The first day I got it I got a call and a lady said she was looking for Mr. Horney.lol

She asked me if I was Mr. Horney and I wasn't sure how to answer that, haha

She has called 2 more times in 2 weeks , maybe I should ask her if she is Mrs. Horney ;)

Dennis, like. Honeybadger, said yes, you take the truck home. Most companies let you do that if you live more than 50 miles from the terminal. I take hometime every 12 days, though I was out 17 days due to lack of availability because of the 4th of July holiday week. I put in for my hometime when I start a new trip. Trans Am has been great about getting me home, its just that I'm not that close to any of our customers. I have finished at Bi-Lo in Greenville SC which is 375 miles roughly. I avoid going through Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh/Durham. I take I 26 east to I 20 and then pickup I 95 i Florence SC to Rocky Mount then US 64 east on home. More miles but much less traffic, especially on a Friday.

On non hometime weeks average close to 900 before taxes, hometime weeks, more like $600. If I clear 3128 miles, thats 1000 bucks before taxes. Have done that once so far. Generally been averaging 2500/week overall and should improve once I better my time management skills. Dennis, I think TransAm is a great place to start your career, if you go company which you have said you will. I should have started mine here, but grateful for the experience I got with Howard, and Abilene. Now, I can give TransAm my best. I will PMyou my cell so you can ask anything of me.

    That's 32 CPM

On non hometime weeks average close to 900 after taxes
    AFTER taxes?

That means you do 3,800 miles a week?
    3,800 miles x .32 = about 1200 which would be around 900 after taxes.

Something's not adding up, unless you have a 120MPH transam truck :biggrin_25523:

You are correc,t Freightwhipper, let me edit that. Thanks for catching that.. Too early to be writing this shiznet. On Monday, will be headed back to Marion NC, to Baxter Health Care going to Cardinal Health in Montgomery NY. All three of my starts have been there. Not complaining, 330 deadhead miles. 1000 plus miles plus 165 miles carried over to start my next paycheck.

No one here tries to be purposely deceptive, freightwipper, but we do make mistakes and have to edit posts from time to time. Everyone has been honest as far as their pay from TransAm and a couple have even posted a copy of their settlements on here. If you go back and read the thread and/or do a search you should be able to find the discussions on pay. Most of us looked at the pay from TransAm as an average because hauling freight is weather dependent. Several points to consider - Everyone's tax situation is different, you may have more dependents to claim or a mortgage that you can claim that will lower your tax rate. TransAm also pays per diem so 12cpm is tax free. That means you bring home more on a weekly basis. The members that join this thread have always done their best to be honest and upfront about all of the pros and cons of working for TransAm....and yes, we have had our share of rants and complaints but being deceptive or dishonest is not one of them.
