I'm from Georgia, and I came to Missouri to do my cdl schooling. When I graduate they will give me a paper copy cdl that I can drive on, my question is, can I use that cdl paper copy to transfer my cdl to Georgia, or do I need the hard copy?

That is a good question that should be addressed to the Georgia Department of Public Safety. I would go by or call Georgia and ask them. You usually need to turn in your old CDL to your home state before they will issue a new license. You may also find the answer from your school in Missouri.

    You must be Priming it.

Your company will give you/the state an employment verification letter. Make sure you have your birth certificate and SS card. They will do a CDLIS background check. You surrender your GA license and then will be issued a non-resident MO CDL after passing all the test.

You'll then have 30 days from then to transfer it to GA. GA on a CDL transfer you take the vision test and if you elect, the hazmat test. No other testing required. You also have to show them your medical card and proof of residency. GA cost $30 + $5 for each endorsement. If you are a vet bring proof and the $30 is waived.

the paper print out is an interim license, its just as good as the hard copy. Only $30 for Georgia? #### im from California, got my license in Arizona which I paid $35 there then had to go back to California retake all written test and pay $67 to transfer. California is one of the worst states for truckers imo

So, is the interim paper copy as good as the plastic card, because I had to move to another state right after passing my road test.

I doubt it since the paper copy is only good for 30 days you need that hard copy let me guess it was mailed to prime and you don't want to go ask them for it

Let's say something like that happened, and you lost your job and were evicted and the only place left to go was your home state WA, far away.

Well legally if prime has it they would have to give it to you if you showed up there but most likely they sent it back if you knew some one in Missouri you could call DMV tell them you moved and never received it have them mail a new one to the person you know who in turn send it to you but it wouldn't hurt anything to try transferring with the paper copy most they will do is tell you to get the hard copy
