Also look at Prime, inc. They pay you during training and then once training is over you'll start making $.42/mile in there lightweight trucks. They have a very good training program as well.

Most first year drivers should make between $45-50k the first year at Prime.

What makes the biggest difference in if you make money or not is how much home time you take, if you are late on loads. Being late will cost you loads and miles. You also need to realize not everyone can handle driving 10 hours a day or over 600 miles a day.

Common sense is good, but do you have any "horse sense"? There's a difference.

Yes I realize that and I am not in the group that thinks trucking is a fantasy for which you do no work. I will look into prime.

Way too many factors to determine an exact amount.

    Expect around $500 - $700 weekly..

Make a list of companies you're interested in and submit applications the first day of CDL school. Ignore "experience required" and apply anyway. Many new drivers land good jobs by doing this. Here's a few to research and most have online applications:

    Schneider Bulk
    Schneider Intermodal
    Quick Fuel Fleet Services
    ABF Freight System
    YRC Freight
    Hogan
    Havlor Lines
    UPS Freight
    Trimac Transportation
    TMC
    Maverick
    Venezia
    Bay & Bay Transportation

There's plenty more, but this should get you started.
