Talk about some mammoth loads. Clearly you don't get to roll into the pilot J to grab fuel with these type of loads eh?

In the first clip, what is the truck on the rear used for. Does he push the load along while another truck pulls?

I work for a coal company and we have some pretty big haulpak's floating around. But I'm willing to bet you could park 2 of them on that! As for driving them, they're surprisingly easy, but it's all off road where you don't worry about all your blind spots for the most part. I do know of a guy from another local company backing right over a supervisors pickup that was stupid enough to park it behind the him,get out,go around to talk to the driver, then walk away to a building. The Driver never knew he parked it there behind him, backed up when he was leaving, and the rest is history....lmfao.

I bet 7 out of 10 guys in the Flying J would tell you about the time they blindsided that 1st load into an alley, then did a 90 degree backup turn while in there to parallel park it between 2 four wheelers....LOL :biggrin_25525:

You don't need a spotter with a truck like that. If it is small enough that you cannot see it you can either push it out of the way or drive over it. :biggrin_25523:

I know of at least one guy who would disagree:

Some driver, probably 4 or 5 years ago now, that while chatting with me stated categorically "if you don't drive 600 miles a day, you're not a truck driver".

    Ooooooo Kay, buddy...whatever you say.....

Yes, that's exactly what he does. Sometimes you need a little help from your friends.
