This sound to me like your injector seats could be warped. That will cause a miss. Are your injector nice & shiny, when you pull them out? If not, then combustion is probably coming up past the injector seats in the head. (Note, not the injector tubes) This burns up the sacrificial o-rings at the bottom of the injector, allowing combustion to get to the fuel injector o-rings. That can be repaired in frame with the head still installed.

Checked for air in fuel return from head to check valve and found no signs of air. I also checked return from check valve to tank. It had some fine bubbles that went away if you pinch the line a little. Is this normal? Any thing else I should check before I shoot it.
