% is way better then /mile at TMC. Unfortunately, FL is out of their hiring area unless you manage to get on their home depot dedicated account in jacksonville. You have to live close to jacks for that one though, not tampa

Been doing yard/road training all this week. Half the day is driving with a trainer either by yourself or with one other person for half the day the other half of the day is doing maneuvers in the yard. Maneuvers are serpentine, figure 8, straight back, 45 degree, 90 degree, and pull through. Their all fairly easy for me but some people struggle.

Every driver I have spoken with over the past week abd a half have been on percentage and only one has complained about the runs he gets.however him been the exception it's obvious why he has issues. In addition to the drivers who have said they are percentage, all have shown me pay settlements and all are making 50k our more. Several have have even shown me in excess of 70k. And most stay out for several weeks at a time. There have been some I've spoken to who have said they go home weekly and still clear 60k or more.
In the end game, I've not seen anything that says you can't make money here. If you can deal with their rules on cleanliness, General appearance, then you should do fine here.bubbagumpshrimp, Sapper92, Battle Born and 1 other person Thank this. -
Fortunately, I am in Jax...so I'll have to look into that one! Thanks Richter! but I did find a dedicated route on their website, and oddly enough....it's out of Tampa!

One more day of driving and range maneuvers down, that leaves us with tomorrow as our last day of maneuvers then Friday is a partial day then drive home to our families. Of 26 people on my class, we only lost 2. We met with our training coordinators today, and found out who our trainers are and where they live. I've got a trainer that is from the Columbus ara, 86 miles one way. I'm cool with that. The guy I rode out here with got his trainer 15 minutes from him. Rumor has it that his trainer has a habit of not showing during the week out. My driving trainer today was Ed, a really cool older guy with 30+ yrs experience. Tomorrow we will be taking a trip to Winterset Iowa, the home town of John Wayne. All on all I haven't got any complaints off the orientation class.

Yea was solid training all around, even the Santa Claus convention otherwise known as yard training was all right.

Met my trainer tonight. He happened to be in Des Moines getting his truck serviced. Guy seems to be pretty stand up.
-
Was it by chance Travis?
-
Guys name is Chris, he's from Grove Port Ohio
-
Ohhhhh. My buddy Travis was there too from Cincinnati though. I think he was waiting on a trainee. Hopefully your guy has one of the new 579's for the extra room and all that. Although the 379's aren't bad. Just having space for training is much better. I quit training cause they didn't have enough space for two people haha.
