This sounds like the wife of a knucklehead who on his first load from Eustis,Fl to Hialeah took him two days and then when got a load north-went back to the yard for a week and a half and never turned in an envelope for two weeks. His first check was already ate up in advances but being nice, payroll would wait and take those advances out later thus doing him a favor. And no. it wasnt 5 weeks-get your facts straight. He wasnt even with the company 5 weeks, but in that time he was late on every load and had every excuse in the book as to why. I am glad he is gone and feel sorry for the next company that stumbles across this waste of oxygen.

Wow, so you get those kind of drivers??? Wow, is all I can say! But no, you're wrong. You sound like one of the wastes of breath that I talked to though.
-
Then all I can say is that your husband is not being honest with you or lacks intelligence.
-
Actually, was talking to a friend. And the fact that you are on here defending the company, instead of doing whatever job it is you do, speaks volumes to me! Insulting a driver that works for you doesn't look very intelligent on your part, and I would hope that potential drivers see how it is that you do judge your drivers, since most of them apparently come from schools. I would say that's a HUGE lack of intelligence. I will know now NOT to send my husband there!

You might want to re-read your first post. The fact that you bring up elogs tells me exactly who you are. Windy Hill has alot of great drivers. Unfortunately, they often give a driver a chance when no one else will. Some pan out and make a good living, some want everything handed to them, and then make up every excuse in the world as to why they can't do the job. He will be a headache for another company, glad it's not here anymore!

Wow! I just got the FACTS from his wife....and she asked me not to post anything, because she didn't want any flack from the company, because apparently, someone has called and cursed her out before, over inquiring about receiving his first check, since it was only a couple days shy of a month. She has a lot more patience and kindness than I do.
But the FACT is...he never took ANY advance on his first load, hence there would be no reason to "wait" to take it out of his "next" check. FACT is...he was waiting for a man named ERIC to find him a truck for the week and a half that he didn't work and STILL didn't receive a check. FACT is his first load was delivered on 6/7, and first check was on 7/3, and in FACT was only $185. His first advance was on 6/26. The FACT is, how can you over-advance yourself, if you're truly driving 2000-2500 miles a week, when you are only allotted $20 a day? FACT is, someone in your company, while he was waiting to be put in an eLog truck, called and threatened his wife, to report $50 worth of straps "stolen" when his check was enough to cover it, if indeed he kept the straps. Keys to the truck had been turned in to "Donna". So threatening the wife with police action, when in fact there was no reason to, why would this guy really want to work for you? FACT, this driver has been driving since 1989, yet from what you quoted a potential new driver in one of your previous posts, he was making "1 year drivers" pay. FACT, when this driver's wife called the corporate office to inquire about his first check, was hung up on by payroll, who didn't want to hear her, then was called by someone else who proceeded to rip her a new osh because she called to inquire about it and was hung up on. It sounds like to me that this company had no intention of paying this man his first paycheck, otherwise, his information would have been in your systems prior to the one day before his 1st check was actually paid to him nearly a month later.
In my book, I too, feel sorry for this driver, as well as his wife. Sounds like he, as well as his she, had much to deal with for a company professing to be so worthy. And just so you know, I am highly offended that you would even talk about my friend, an employee, past or present, in the manner you spoke of this him, regardless of his lack of ability to "get the job done". It just shows how unprofessional you really are. SMH (shaking my head) I just don't understand. It seems to me that there is a huge lack of communication between the drivers and company and it mainly falls on the driver.
I wish you and your company the best of luck in the future, because from the sounds of it, you really don't have the employee's back at all. -
Just so you realize you don't know it all...I inquired about Windy Hill for MY husband, and he runs eLogs, so we asked our friend....SMH this post is just one more example of how hateful a company you are. No need to respond, I'm done here.CondoCruiser Thanks this.

One thing I won't tolerate is some lying recruiter pretending to be a driver. Your credibility just went down the drain. You can find somewhere else to attempt to recruit and talk down to drivers at.
