This is why I fix everything I can on my equipment. I never walked out of a shop without feeling like I got ripped off or that the job was properly done.

Just talked to OOIDA, they said call the Colorado Attorney Generals office. So gonna do that tomorrow, have miles to make today.
If the video keeps on like it has though will have over 500 views by the end of the week. -
I share this on my FB, Just sad how shady and lazy people can be now in days. I would of done the same, get out quick and let the world know. Get a lawyer involve and keep this video up and let the media know.

Good idea.

I admit I only watched the short version but all I saw was a jack off joking about putting a hole in something with a screw driver. And even then I wouldn't be able to tell what what said if not for the closed caption (provided by plaintiff). Plus it seems they were trying to get someone to sign off on warranty due to a bad carrier bearing. Unless I missed something I don't see a law suit based on that.
They would stand by the carrier bearing decision and they would say the jack off said something innocuous as a joke. -
Another use for the dash cam....
Hope it works out for you... -
i agree with you to the extent that they were not being serious about knocking a hole in the trans cooler. and i don't feel there is grounds for a law suit over what was captured on the video. (unless they had actually knocked a hole in the trans cooler then i would see ground)
however what is a vaid point from the video is they are not trying to figure out why the transmission went bad they are looking for a way out of the warranty.
and as far as the carrier bearing goes i can't see it causing the issues the o/p describes even if it was so bad it was about to fall out of the truck. and the fact that the tech says "do you think this is bad enough to make a issue out of it" re-enforces the fact there just trying to get out of the warranty rather than actually fix the problem.
long and short of what i see is they sold him a bum trans they know they did and they just are trying to find a way that it does not come out of there pocket. -
If I was on my other computer that had the proper audio mastering equipment on it, id have been able to remove the background and boost the levels and you will be able to hear just fine.
The long version of the video has them talking about water in the transmission oil, they were going to blame the oil to water cooler, only my engine doesn't have one, thus is why they talked about knocking a hole in it.
Later you can hear him say they took a test drive and could not feel any vibration on the drive line. If there is no vibration, then how is the carrier bearing so bad that it was the issue? it would have to be slapping and vibrating all over the place causing some serious binding. -
Plain and simple they LKQ sold and installed a transmission failed to get right either a bad transmission or poor install and are trying to avoid fixing their mess up. Long version has many more details. And last time I removed a transmission I had to remove the carrier bearing to drop it far enough out of the way whuch is where I found mine was bad something that the installer shoud have caught had it been bad but a poor install may be the cause of the bearing going bad after install. Hmm just a thought not super mechanical so may be wrong there

IMHO there isn't a thing wrong with the bearing, there is a bit of play in the rubber support web, but you really have to exert a lot of force to move it.
At this juncture I have no plans on replacing it if that tells you anything.
