someone told me that if you work in the oilfield you are exempt from the 11hr driving rule. I know they get a ton of overtime.

And you expect Werner to be better? How? You are better off staying with Stevens until you get a year exp then going to a smaller, better company.

Don't leave. Stay with Stevens. I tried to get on hauling glass at Werner, no passenger seat in truck and it is a small bunk area. Think it was called super single no room whatsoever

We get longer hours on trucks registered over 26K and trucks registered under 26K there is no log books no limit on hours of operation however peace officer/DOT can tag you for excessive hours if you get pulled over. And yes I wouldn't disagree that it's a little crazy. Some the larger companies like Haliburton, Baker, Tucker, TriCan put restrictions for hours of operation on their drivers and one of the companies I work for restricts total hours of operation driving/lworking to 16 hours per day.Milkman719 Thanks this.
