Detention

    Problem is too many think it's one-way only. Whether it's traffic,breakdown,weather,HOS,ect. I have accounts where our trucks can never make the PU appointment time(by hours)unless we want to lay over the ruck for a day each time. They don't charge us for being late and we don't charge them if they run over time.

    When you're brokering,one may be late and another on time. You can either charge one for late and pay the other or just eat it and pay the detention.

    I would say that its common sense if its your fault you pay if its the shippers fault they pay. If only it worked that way!
