I will be paying for it cash, no financial (don't want the debt). Only spoken to Roadmaster so far and seem fair, but wanted to get a few opinions if anyone has any insight. Thanks in advance.
Carolina Trucking Academy, Roadmaster or Miller-Motte College (Raleigh, NC area)?

Oh and I will be doing weekends as I am currently employed..

Last time I checked Roadmaster was $4700 for 4 weeks of training....that's pretty pricey. Check the community college in your area. Many of them offer commercial driving courses. Some offer night classes. I know the community college in my county cost about half the price of Roadmaster and the course is 8 week vs. 4 weeks.

I strongly recommend roadmaster if you are fortunate enough to have the opportunity. They have learning to drive a truck down to a science... Atleast the foundation of it all.
-
Carolina Trucking Academy has an extremely small facility....their yard is ridiculously small.
Roadmaster is more expensive but their curriculum isnt bad. Their facility isnt in Raleigh though....its about an hour South. -
My advice to you is since your currently employed and looking to go school part time is going with a community college since they are cheaper. Johnston Community College would probably be the closest to you since you live in Raleigh. The program is only around $1000. Thats about one of the cheapest around

Check out Johnston Community College. Like NCTrucker66 said, its a shade over $1000 now, their nights and weekends course runs for 12 weeks. Testing goes beyond CDL requirements, so you're sure to know your stuff by the time you graduate.

Yeah, I gotta concur with the JCC recommendation. It's a little bit of a drive, but Clayton's a lot easier to drive through since they opened the bypass.

JCC is the best by a long shot.
