what really kills me is when I surf the internet all the trucking companies saying they need drivers and here I am ready to work and drive hard I understand that I might have to take a crappy ruck job but I'm okay with it if I ever get a chance I just need a chance to prove myself

 

damon, have you tried a 3rd party head hunter/recruiter? a friend put me on one as a joke and i got all kinds of ######### throwing all kinds of jobs at me. i have no idea how credible they are but even if it's a crap job it's experience and a pay check. just google "cdl recruiters"

 

That won't help him because he only has a permit. He needs CDL school. Once he completes a CDL school, there are companies that will hire him.

 

i missed that i saw "ready to work" and thought he may have completed school. attention to detail? whats that?

come to think of i have a good friend who's a felon and he's actually working with the DA that prosecuted him and he's also in his 2nd year of a criminal justice degree. he does some work getting jobs for felons. i'll ask him if he knows of anything. i'll get back to you here.

Have you tried PRIME INC.. They work with felons. You may want to see about getting your CDL license tho before applying anywhere else. Unless your going with a company like England or Stevens etc.. that will train you to get your CDL. Not sure if PRIME does that or not but worth checking them out.
