In Allatoona, Ga for my 2 hour break. Yesterdays delays killed me. Hate split breaking but you have to do what you have to do, to get the load there on time. One more split break for today and tomorrow and then I will straighten my schedule back out.

Cranky one more question for you. When you get produce do you pulp it? The only time I ever did that was when it went to Wally world cause they stink bringing produce into they always rejected unless I pulped and made sure it was proper temp before it went on but even then got a little bit rejected but not much.

    Be safe out there

I have seen that to. And it is definatly worse for truckers and one of the main reasons I would prefer not to drive for a local when I do get going.

I just love it, when my company talks all tough, knowing that they won't, or can't, do a thing to change the situation!!! At a rcvr, for an 0630 cst appt., in a door and haven't even been started on yet. * sighs*. Now starts the "call us in 20 minutes" routine.

OK after reading this post and through out the thread and previous thread it is the first thing that I thought after seeing a white Volvo Titan transport truck out of Chicago down here.

When the King was at TransAm he did many many WalMart loads but WalMart is struggling. Last year we had a discussion on the thread about WalMart and no one would believe that .....because they saw them on every street corner. But their earnings were going down every quarter. The latest economic trends are for smaller local businesses and online sales.....which is great! .....but it also puts drivers in tighter quarters that were never meant for the size of the trucks today. It also limits on sight parking.
Here is part of just one stockbroker's recent take on buying WalMart stock -

From an investment perspective, I think Wal-Mart is going to be a loser long-term, because of the challenges I've outlined above. Returns are falling, Wal-Mart is struggling overseas, U.S. consumers are shopping elsewhere, and the success of new formats is uncertain.
Time will tell if Wal-Mart can turn around but I'd stay out of the stock and would even consider shorting shares if operations continue to struggle.

That sucks. Hope you get out of there as soon as possible. I have often thought of going back there and unloading myself just to save time but I know they will have a ridiculous breakdown for drivers that do that.

In Nickajack Lake, Tn. debating how I should handle the next 600 miles. Monday screwed me all up thought I could get in at least 200 miles and everything would have been easier. Blah Chicago and hardly any truck stops there and traffic. If I knew it better I would know some good spots to hide like Ny but that is not the case.

    Be safe out there
