You hope you remember your safe word.
Oh, you said bondED, not bond... nevermind. -
You start contacting shippers, and booking loads. You know....go to work.
Being "bonded", is just an accreditation. Tells possible customers that you're on the up & up, insured, etc... You STILL have to build a reputation, and trust. -
I know, I know.............I replied too...................does it seem odd that a guy in China is asking these questions????? -
Your location says China. Are you interested in becoming a freight forwarder or customs broker, in global transportation? This forum mostly discuss domestic US truck transportation.
-
Yes,in fact I want to trade with international directly.
-
Thank you.I understand.
-
You DO?? Being bonded is being sufficiently credit-worthy to have an underwriter supply you with a 75k bond. How do you plan on launching a brokerage for US freight while you are in China???
-
Hello, yes customs brokerage and global freight forwarding are different than domestic freight brokerage. You will need to be licensed by US Customs & Border Protection agency and meet their requirements.
