Solid first day out of the house today, two short loads for almost $1000 and picked up my third load delivering in the morning....
Ignored the two extra customers I was supposed to go pick up mt's at, why should I waste time, fuel, and money when there are mt's where I am at?!?! Sorry Schneider, you don't pay me to rebalance your trailer fleet for you....
Headed to New Jersey in the morning, been a while since I delivered there, thinking good thoughts...
Settlement today was $1912 gross on 3043 total miles in five days, about $1.60 per mile loaded and dh.....

Good stuff. I don't play that "shuttle the empty for free" game with them either. Box planners get mad at me but they can kiss my *** I'm not wasting an hour of my day doing that crap.

Yes, and my DBL backs me 100%. If a customer offers me an MT I will take it. If the box planner wants me to drop my my someplace other than where I'm getting my load, I might if it makes sense.

Two weeks ago I drop in the DeKalb area and am heading to Romeoville to pick up.my next load. The box planner adds a stop at an LTL customer next to.the Kostner intermodal yard. 40 more paid Miles, closer to 70 actual miles, and it was rush hour. Plus it would have made me.lose my short haul pay on the load. No way am I fighting in there, fighting back out to Romeoville, and then playing Russian roulette with parking. I just went to my pickup and sent in a message saying "sorry, didn't see the change until I was here. Am under my load, please update my events."

Been to Maine a couple times. It is a nice place just hate what you have to go thru to get there. Seen signs along the interstate that stated watch out for moose in the roadway. I wanted to take a couple of them signs home with me and put them on the road I live on to see what people would do.

You do the task for the pick-up empty task at the new customer while you are at the current customer..... No phone call.... No message..... Just do it...... No time to be playing those games.....

Grijon, speedbuggy84410 and ew2108 Thank this.

Awoke at three this morning. Drove the four hours to my drop in NJ, been a while since I went anywhere in NJ, usually just driving through. Not too bad all in all, and it was the heart of rush hour. Finished that up and drove 90 minutes to my live load. Took two hours to do that, then I drove about 45 mins to the Peelot at exit 12, I-78, NJ. Was amazed there was actual parking!! This place is always a madhouse.... So now I sit until two am when I'll drive the four hours to my drop and then drive two hours up to ME to pick up my next load... Should be nice and light traffic that early in the morning, last Saturday I drove up to ME later in the day and traffic was atrocious.... We shall see....

I sat down with my ICR and told her that my contract to haul a load once it's assigned is from point "A" to point "B". When they add tasks after the fact, I didn't accept that. I don't work for free!!!! She agreed. I did it once and got chewed out by both customers. Dropped mty that they didn't want or need and at pick up they needed mty's that I didn't bring. Told both of them to call Schneider.
