Anyone know why ETA's revert to the sometimes ridiculous one the computer originally generates? Does this happen with every company, or is Schneider 'special'?
I'd set my ETA, noticed I didn't have a fuel solution, went on my merry way, solution came up while I was at a light, and away I went. Got to the delivery, and got the 'You are 1575 minutes late.' At that moment, it was my last nerve!! Having five hours left on Saturday, a 0630 ETA on Monday with 1480 miles to drive wasn't gonna work! Lol!
ETA's changed enroute

I've found if they update something in the shipping info, like a relay gets dropped and they update it with the trailer number for example, it will recalculate the ETAs and throw everything off.
I think the only ETA that really matters if you are a company driver and want to get bonus (I could be wrong about this) is the ETA to final delivery. I only finish that task on workflow when I KNOW I am going to get it there. When I first pick up the load I don't finish the pickup workflow and just drive off. Sometimes I forget and roll into the delivery and then finish the task LOL. Nobody has ever mentioned it. I'm an IC and only do 24hr drop/hook so I'm not saying do it the way I do it... just my experience with it though.dtcscout and gentleroger Thank this. -
Thanks DFO! When you were a sla...Company Driver, After arriving, how much 'on duty' time did you log, and did you got to SB, then back 'On Duty' to close the doors, grab paper? I Got nailed for Transflo-ing while not in an 'on duty' status, and going from 'off duty' to 'driving' without logging 'on duty' time.

I do that all the time. Leave straight to driving from a 30. Never have said anything to me. Same with scanning. Usually after I've logged off for the day.

A little off topic but if you have 10 or so free minutes this is a great article that explains the technology that drives Schneider and how the decisions are made using Qualcomm info, GPS, etc.....was told one time what the exact figure Schneider paid MIT to come up with the system but cannot remember exactly what it was. It did have 7 figures in it though.

Interesting introduction, but not so much that I'm going to either subscribe or buy a pdf. Thanks, though.

I've never been on duty and Transflo'd paperwork. I never show on duty except for Pre trips and Fueling

If you just started with SNI it sounds like someone is closely watching your logs at the beginning. After a bit don't worry they should leave you alone. About transfloing on-duty though, that is weird, I've never done that. When I arrive I go straight to off duty. When I leave the customer I put the MCP on duty throw it in gear and go. This gives me 5 minutes of on-duty time before it force-logs me driving. Only time it doesn't work is if I go straight on to the highway, so if I know I'm getting straight on the highway I'll start logging on-duty a minute or so before driving out.
