what a lot of guys don't get is that sometimes you've got to be the bigger man and back out of it.......ain't lot a minute of time nor a mile in pay letting the douche thats going .5 mph faster than me go by. We're supposed to be professionals here; and that's what a pro would do.

I'm not, I had one back when I drove tour buses, almost sideswipe me through a construction zone, then in the open road, I passed him at 65 mph.

I worked for them in 2006 for 3 months. They told us in orientation that they had 7 fatal accidents during the 6 months prior...stuff like this will cause it.

20 seconds per hour X 11 hours per day X 7 days per week X 52 weeks per year X .29 cpm and pretty soon you're talking real moneyMarky84 and NewbiusErectus Thank this.

I see 2 lanes, Averitt is passing the tanker, and you are in the same lane preparing to do so yourself. Your picture and point is invalid. Averitt trucks do 65-66. If I run behind someone doing 64, Ill ride behind them, no worries. I normally dont attempt to pass unless you are running 62 or lower. May not seem like much but I am getting between 40 and 50 cpm. Lets use 50 for simple math. if I can run 65 and you can only run 63, thats 1.00 per hour less that I am making. We are all out here to make money. Now if you gotta ride beside someone for 15 miles to pass, I certainly agree that is stupid to hold up traffic. But if you can get around someone in 2-3 minutes, that super trucker behind you will get over it, most are pretty understanding. They will ride your tail, but thats cause they expect you to get over as soon as you clear the other truck. I dont have a problem with that ^.^

I was running 75 mph when the averitt came out the on ramp.I had to slam on brakes after he cut me off. He immediately went to the middle lane before he had attained his top speed of 62.The trucks were almost identical in speed and I imagine would have still been side by side when they got to Tampa, had the tanker not run up on someone running slower than he was.I have the whole thing on my dash cam and am considering posting it. I think there should be a wall of shame to out these knucleheads since they no longer run cb's just for this reason.

Oh, that's my favorite too. They have been on the big road for all of 10 seconds, and they are already in somebody's way.
