Yes,that is a tough deal there! I bet a big lawsuit will transpire with Stewart-Haas before all of that comes to a head.
I really don't think he meant to hit the guy after watching the video a few times.

I'm glad it is not them I will be driving for!

I will be the oldest guy on the crew...in my 50's and all the other guys are late 20's to maybe 40.
see how it goes for an older guy like me....I hope they like keeping the left door shut and hanging out in the hammer lane from time to time....lol!

Are you working for JHE doing the sprint experience at the track? If you are be prepared it is way more than driving. I used to run the circuit and did all 36 races doing marketing and tv trucks for a few years and no all to well what those guys do at the track.

Be prepared to do a lot of manual labor in all weather conditions for sure. They normally start setting up on wed and finish Thursday and open on fri,sat and sun. Just depends on when the race is and the schedule. You will earn your money for sure. Pack your patience because you will find you work as a team and as we all know not everyone pulls there weight and they do very little while others work hard to get the job done. That can be very frustrating to say the least.

The marketing company that I am with now has 2 drivers that worked for JHE and left a year ago to come over here because of getting burned out. Best advice is to make friends with other drivers you meet either on teams or other marketing companies and that way if another less physically demanding job comes open that is never advertised you may find out.

The pre race stage is a pretty good truck for them as well as the freightliner hospitality trailer they have. Both are a ton easier than the sprint experience. I still know people that work over there but have moved into more office roles but know way more drivers who have left over the years for better opportunities

I will try and answer any questions that you might have. I will go to 3 or 4 races this year but am currently on tour for the next 17 weeks so only have 1 more race this year to work.

    Thanks nctraveler!
    Yes,you guess right!
Just the last two days working in Harrisburg changing stuff around for Sprint has been rough.

I can imagine how hard my first few setups and tear downs are going to be.
This Company appears to be very organized but really push you.
The crew I will be working with have not been super helpful as far as showing me stuff so it will be learn on the fly.

I used to do mobile marketing back around 1999 to about 2006....It was a WAY easy deal compared to this.
I may have bitten off way more than I realized for sure.
Had another job offer last week for flatbed and wonder if I should have taken that instead.

Will keep this thread updated if I survive Bristol!

Oh, Oh, it begins. I didn't want to blow out any negativity, but I've seen how hard these guys work, and I hate to say it, but the reason there was a job opening, is someone else got discouraged and quit. Now, even I feel bad saying you'd be nuts not to take the job. I wanted a job with John Force because I love drag racing, but I bet after a while, I probably wouldn't even want to watch the race itself. I hope it gets better for you, if not, there's plenty of other opportunities for a driver out there.

Is this team driving or are you out there by yourself?

You were dead on....It is no more than a traveling carnival....
The rest of the crew are A-holes and yell and cuss you all day! like your supposed to know the whole 15000 square foot setup and never seen it put together before...WAY not worth what they are paying and having to live with these guys weeks on end...
Found out I'm the 6th guy this season on my rig.
Yes the trucks are the nicest I have ever driven but still not worth it even if they doubled the pay!

Going flatbed in 2 weeks! Screw this!
