Harrison Truck (Freightliiner) near Waterloo, Iowa. I am sure prices are little higher now, just like they are for new trucks. I bought mine in August 2012. Very glad I went this route instead of regular production new truck.

Cowpie what truck body, tranny, and motor did you buy?
Do you think they did a good job of getting it all put together well? How trouble free has it been?

I thought the gliders would run more. A 112k seems like a great deal to me even 2 years ago. I thought the gliders would have been near the new truck prices.

What kind of warranty came with it?

I'm referring to NEW o/o who are looking to buy used, not new....If I were buying new, a glider would definitely be it!!!

But most new O/o can't afford a 100K first truck, so were looking more around 25-50K....and the pre 2003 trucks with less than 600K miles are getting fewer and fewer...

I got the Columbia, Signature interior with wood grain, built in fridge, custom insulation packages, Meritor 14x drive axles with full lockers. 18 speed factory remanned Eaton, factory remanned Detroit 60 12.7 500 hp, Alcoa durbrite wheels, wide based on drives, all Michelin rubber. It has been great. Only reason for being in the shop in 288,000 miles was for services and running overhead on engine. Got 210,000 on first set of steer tires. Still got original drive tires and checked the tread depth about a week or two ago and had 16-17/32's tread left at 286,000 miles with no uneven wear.

Engine, trans, each 3 yr 300,000 warranty. Drive axles 5 yr/750,000 warranty, Chassis standard 1 yr / 100,000 warranty.n Oh, forgot. Only issue was the built in fridge. Not the greatest fridge made. It died just after the 100,000 mile chassis warranty. Had to pay for new one, but I got one from truckfridge.com and it is a much better unit. Lot cheaper than OEM also.

    My mbn t600

Dad hauls sand around gas frac areas. drives about 2000 miles a month. Most areas are mountains. Uses pto at higher than 1400 rpm.
-bought it at 715k miles. Good engine record before buying. Replaced water pump at 715k miles. Replaced thermo stat at 740k miles. Reman rocker arms on cylinder 3 at 750k miles (was 5.1 mpg). Was 475 hp engine. The previous owner tuned up to 500 hp. Replace oil/filters every 10k miles. 5.7 mpg after value and jake adjustment.

When i turn 21, we'll go to dry van runs on east rockies.

General stuff, dry box. Anything from empty soda pop cans to medical materials, to bulk commodities and feed for livestock, to steel coils. Mostly the bulk commodities and feed supplement products. Empty, with a 53' Stoughton plate dry box trailer, I am around 32K, so I can cram about 48K in the box. I have never been at a full 80K and I have had a lot of 46K+ loads in the box.
