Instead of finding 2 available showers can't we just use the same shower ?
I thought someone on here said him and wife went together. -
there is no federal law saying you can't carry a gun in a cv. However most companies wont let you and then you have to take in state and local laws as there isn't a carry permit that covers the whole country. get caught in chicago or new york with a gun and you're going to do prison time.
im all for the second ammendment but it's not worth the hassle.
as far as traveling with your wife, that might make it safer for you. seems like when these things happen the driver is by him or herself.
just have to mind your surroundings at all times. I wouldn't stress over it too much or you wont last out here long. it's a small percentage and you have just as much chance of something happening going to your neighborhood store.dennisroc Thanks this. -
it's also in the hood! the petro isn't too bad, but you have to pay after two hours is what sucks but it's a lot bigger than than the two pilots on the 285gntorres61 Thanks this. -
some places you can, some you can't.gntorres61 Thanks this.

I would like to find out which ones you can and cant. Would make so much sense to do it together, One shower bag with everything in it. It's not that I am scared it is just being informed where the bad places are that I would want to avoid.
More cautious than anything,

Never even made it within one hour of the state line (Fla/Ga) as my 14 ran out. In Lake City at the 413 rest area facing southbound as the northbound lot was full. Had to wake one guy up to pull his truck up so I could squeeze my trailer without hitting the back of his. He says "you woke me up for this?" I said "yeah look behind you, next time I will hit you, look how close my trailer is to yours. Is that what you want??"
He pulled up and I slid in and backed up and straightened up and all went to bed without further incident. I had been to tha Pilot x51 on 285 when I was with Abilene and started solo. I had just delivered a Pella doors to a receiver in Forest Park and went looking for a truck stop to sit and wait for my next load. It was a Monday morning around 830 and I figured most of the solar powered cowboys would be gone, but no, wrong. Packed like sardines in this tiny truck stop and just pulled through the fuel line and got something to eat, and got back on 285 and cruised while still waiting. Finally got a drop and hook at a glass place in Madison an hour east of the ATL.
If they still want me to swap there, I'll be able to see my assailant as I would be there about 3pm, and that place is a horrible place to do a swap as there is no space. Its too tiny. This load is due in Denver day after tomorrow. Gotta see how this is going to play out. Willkeep you posted. Maybe I can convince them to do Petro like Pete says if they even want to swap after waiting 8 1/2 hours on the dock, drove three hours to Lake City from Auburndale (US 27 is brutal with a 44k load in the box, all the stoplights and the hills) and went to sleep. Learning to sleep during the day after getting good rest remains a challenge. Uy Vey. Deuces.passport220 Thanks this. -
27 does suck. That's why ya skip 27 and go up CR33!!!
gntorres61 Thanks this. -
Thought as a company driver, we HAD to follow GPS routing.
