tow is right -- no points.

So should i just pay the ticket, not pay the lawyer and not worry about the points? Or do I still have to have somebody represent me?
-
You're probably not going to save enough by hiring the lawyer to pay for the lawyer. I'd just pay the ticket since it's not a moving violation.MachoCyclone and tow614 Thank this.

Or, knowing that the kingpin is three feet from the front of the trailer, 53 minus 3 = 50, which means that nine feet from the back of the trailer is the 41-foot point. Lot of trailers have an arrow or mark there already. Carry a sharpie or piece of chalk and mark it.double yellow and NavigatorWife Thank this.

Another easy way is this: most trailers have some sort of fixture that is evenly spaced front to back. For example vans and reefers have rows of rivets on one or two foot spacing. Start at the kingpin and count back. On mine I use a landmark. 41' stretch puts the capital R in "Air Ride Equipped" right between the tandems.
For many men, just mentioning in public that your wife got an overweight ticket is a violation that can bring some serious consequences at home.gokiddogo, freightlinerman, bobtrucks2204 and 3 others Thank this. -
The law should be the same in all 57 states.

go ahead and pay... should be cheaper than a lawyer with a likely same out come... there are probably csa points not sure... good luck -
You're not supposed to get CSA points anymore for size and weight violations. I think that was part of the old Cargo Basic.
