I dont believe there are points for this...

My wife got an overweight ticket and there were no points since it is not considered a moving violation

So should i just pay the ticket, not pay the lawyer and not worry about the points? Or do I still have to have somebody represent me?

You're probably not going to save enough by hiring the lawyer to pay for the lawyer. I'd just pay the ticket since it's not a moving violation.

Another easy way is this: most trailers have some sort of fixture that is evenly spaced front to back. For example vans and reefers have rows of rivets on one or two foot spacing. Start at the kingpin and count back. On mine I use a landmark. 41' stretch puts the capital R in "Air Ride Equipped" right between the tandems.

For many men, just mentioning in public that your wife got an overweight ticket is a violation that can bring some serious consequences at home.

The law should be the same in all 57 states.

You're not supposed to get CSA points anymore for size and weight violations. I think that was part of the old Cargo Basic.
