I see about 500 per week!....lol
I was kinda surprised last week, I was almost outta hours because the shipper took 5 hours to unload me. I knew I was not gonna find any parking at 11pm at the truck stop so I hit an exit in W,VA and parked out in the middle of nowhere under a bridge. It was pitch black where I parked and to be honest pretty spooky. I go to bed and wake up the next morning around 8am and another Cargo truck was parked under the bridge on the other side of the road.

where was that at?

Keep your eyes peeled, especially in NC, or any where along i81, i95, see them every where. Look for the mini traffic jam behind them lol.

Thats one thing I don't miss from Cargo. We do some back hauls here at Zenith, have waited 5 hours to get loaded once, most places we pick up or deliver back hauls at have us loaded or empty in about 15-20 minutes. Also ran empty from Connecticut to VA a couple weeks ago, and empty from New Hampshire to VA this week, once we get to VA its about a 10 minute drop and hook and a straight shot to the terminal. nice to not have to deal with sitting around at docks.

The insurance (in NC) is a good Blue Cross policy, with a $1000 deductible and a $3500 annual out-of-pocket limit. For a single person it'll cost you just north of $50/wk. Next year it may change, as rates increase every year, and companies adjust the limits, trying to offer the best value.
Cargo primarily runs East Coast/Northeast.
There is a yard in Rocky Mount that you could work out of. I started with Cargo out of trucking school, and you won't find a better starter company. -
The recruiter told me it was $150/wk for me and my wife...a little pricey. That's $600/month. I'll have to park the truck in Benson which is 85 miles from where I live. I've heard nothing but good things about them, just not sure if it's the right decision for ME.

So save the money and go shopping for an insurance plan independently. A lot of times it might work out to your BENEFITS..And yes..the pun was intended.
Iceman1984 Thanks this. -
I don't blame you, I would not want to drive an hour and a half just to go to work
