Battle born, my company may would work out for you. We run up to Minnesota weekly and we have a driver that's in the guard.

Back out on the road. Took 8 glorious days at home.

Paycheck for this week is -719. To be expected after hometime. I ran 1 trip from ND to Austin TX and then deadheaded home. I will get a screen shot of this weeks settlement tomorrow and post that with the full breakdown.

Right now I am on my way to PA, actually I'm 17 miles from my final, for Baton Rouge. This will be my only trip for this pay week. It won't give me a profit next week, but it will cover the negative from this week plus fuel and costs this week. Will actually bring about $200 home next week.

Since I am delivering this tomorrow I can get a good start on the next week. Will post more tomorrow. For now I am tired. Goodnight!

10-4 I was wondering why you kept responding to my post almost immediately after I post... Good to hear you had 8 days at the home...No wonder... I never did get to say ( In the heat of battle ha ha ) but I like your truck... At least if your going to get in a lease deal the hope is you have a hot thing ( you do ) not to mention you have got to be to my knowledge the smartest lease operator on this site... I am not interested in leasing but as a real "troller" of this site I sure am happy to hear of your "Success" so far... Not to mention you seem to be a pretty educated man... But as a true man I'm glad to hear you had more then a week off... Smack me I thought you resided in Minnesota? Anyways No hard feelings, I look forward to pulling your chain or not :biggrin_25517: sleep tight brother

    So finally some updates.
    Payweek of 8/14.
    Ran 1197 total miles
    Total gross $1669.76
    Total fuel $1,214.08
    Net take home $-719.32

I took a load from ND to Austin TX. This was a scud load for sure and the only reason I took it was to go home. Even after I delivered this load is was still a 500 mile deadhead, but I wasn't about to miss my kiddos first day of school. Kind of a tradition for me to take her to school and pick her up on her first day. Next year she will be driving so Im not sure how thats going to play out.

Came back on the road Wednesday after 8 days home. First load out was Baton Rouge to PA. Load of pipe that was not horrible pay, but not great. That will be on next weeks pay, the only load on that settlement. That load should pull me out of the hole and take care of expenses for this week. Should have a net take home of about $167.

Delivered that load yesterday, Friday, and now I am sitting until Monday. Snatched up a load for Monday that delivers as soon as I can get it there. Should take about 6 hours and will deliver on the same day. I took that load because I won't need to purchase fuel to run it, 456 miles and its paying just under $1500 to the truck. Usually I like to get a load Friday, take the weekend to run it and deliver Monday giving me a great start on the pay period. This load is doing the same thing only I get a reset in, and because I won't need fuel its actually nicely profitable.

I took a few days off in Minnesota, but do not live there. I live in Louisiana. New Orleans Metro area just off Lake Pontchartrain. Love it there.

No hard feelings brother, I don't mind the jabbing. If we ever meet on the road, lunch is on me.

So when you take that time off, do they take the payment out of your next check? I figured that they'd only let you home for a weekend here and there. Never thought it could work out like that.

Fixed costs come out every week. If there isn't enough gross revenue you go into the hole. As lease operator you decide time off. Duration of time off is up to you. I never worry about those costs when I'm at home, otherwise I wouldn't fully enjoy my family time.

How about break downs, what do you pay for on a break down? I'm guessing there is a warranty on most of these rigs?

You have a maintenance escrow. Varies per truck. The trucks do have warranty.
