Hello my name is Jeremy. I just purchased this truck 1998 International 9400 with a detroit engine When you turn key on it says ERROR on odometer and if you start driving it the trip and hour meter on odometer works but as you drive it just powers down just blank. If you turn truck off and start it back up it reads ERROR still and if you hit button to change to trip its at 0 again so its not keeping power either it seems. So can any body please help me thanks for all the help I can get.

on most models like this one you have to wait for a few seconds or even up to a minute for all computer and sensors to reset or things will not work proper like the cruise control on some models

Those little boards do go bad. It could also be the cluster module. The best way to test is to get another center cluster panel and simply plug it in and see if it works.
