My journey with Orange starts

On the Friday before I started home time, I ran a couple local runs. It was like 54 miles and about 4 hours, SNI paid me $100.00 for doing it. Nice job by DBL.

This is trip I thought since I was returning to So CA, I was just going to go down I-5. Wrong. When I got to Eugene OR, Jill had me take Hwy 58 to Hwy 97. I spent the night at a FJ in Chemult OR ( it was 36* this morning) From there I took Hwy 97 to Klamath Fall to Hwy 39 to Hwy 139 into CA. Stayed on 139 until Hwy 299 and than jumped on Hwy 395 and stay on that in CA, NV and back into CA.

it was all great scenery today.

Just cause I had nothing better to do, I get to drive around Reno on 395. I'm thinking going to Reno is shorter than just going down I-5? I am staying on 395 until I get to I-15. I made it to Big Pine CA tonight.

Only 200 more miles and I'm there. Maybe Jill does know something. I can get there 5 hours earlier than I thought I would. Who knew?

Going to swing by Fontana first, since I am early and get this trailer a new tire. Found some tread was missing when I did the post trip. Nothing major, but don't want the next driver have to deal with it.

 

Got to Delivery at 11:00. Headed to Fontana OC for new tire on trailer. Shop looked at my tires also. Got 4 new rear drive tires out of the deal.

New pre assignment has me going back to the place I just left and taking a load to Salem OR. 972 miles, Sweet.....

I'm taking the same route I just came down on, just reversed.

I decided to spend the night at Fontana due to getting a late start and traffic on I-15. Only had a couple hours left on my 14. Will get an early start tomorrow and shut done early. Don't have to be to Salem till the 19th. I'll be there before that.

 

It was good talking to you taugust yesterday. Even in the middle of nowhere. Keep working at it. It will turn around for you. Just wait for that bigger truck.

Made it to Susanville last night before calling it a night. Today made it to Albany today and shut down early. Appointment at 09:00 tomorrow.

 

Made it delivery at 07:00. New per assignment to Canby OR to Chino CA. 502 miles. Deliver on Wednesday by 16:00. Getting short on hours.

 

Got my sign on bonus also. Nice little surprise since I had TAH also.

Delivered load an hour early. New pre assignment is DH 84 miles to Woodland CA and deliver in Wilmington CA by tomorrow by noon. Only 3 hours left today. Get 11 hours back at midnight. Will be running recap hours the rest of the week. Have at start driving at midnight to make it on time. Crap......
